Due to COVID-19, auditions for the 2021 season are highly tentative. Any updates will be shared on our social media and this page as soon as it is available.
For now, please practice social distancing, be sure to wear a mask, and wash your hands frequently.
**Auditions are typically held in the month of September in the Atlanta area. If you plan to travel from outside the area, please plan to be in the Atlanta area by 5p on Friday, and plan to leave after 5p on Sunday. If you need assistance with rides (from and to the airport) or housing, please contact as soon as possible. Read below for more information regarding our audition process.
Audition Clinic and Audition Preparation
Prior to auditions, we host an Audition Clinic for performers seeking extra preparation for our Open Casting Audition. The cost of the Audition Clinic is $40, and performers attending BOTH Audition Clinic AND our Open Casting Audition will receive a $20 discount on the Audition Fee. Location and date will be announced prior to the clinic. The purpose of this clinic is to provide a real audition experience and provide performers with tips and tools to more-successfully navigate a World Class audition. Performers will also learn technique and choreography used in our 2019 Paramount Auditions, as well as learn important insights regarding the "intangibles" and "do's and don'ts" of a world class audition process.
Open Casting Auditions for Paramount WORLD
The Audition Fee is $50, and performers who attend the Audition Clinic beforehand will receive a discount of $20 for attending both. Auditions are mandatory for membership consideration, and we do not offer membership contracts via Video Audition. Videos may be sent for input on potential but all candidates are expected to attend and be evaluated in person. If you have questions or concerns regarding auditions or conflicts, please contact as soon as possible!
To finalize the 2020 casts, there may be a Call-Back Audition following the Open Casting Audition. Performers will be instructed at Open Casting whether or not they will need to attend the Call-back Audition.
If you are interested in Paramount Auditions, or attending the Audition Skills Clinic, please fill out the Audition Interest Form above to stay informed on all Peak Performance Clinic and Audition Information and by also following us on Facebook and Twitter!
A $50, non-refundable audition fee (cash or Debit/Credit
cards are accepted. There is a 3% service charge added
to payments made with a card.) You will receive a $20 discount
if you attend the Audition Prep Clinic beforehand.
HOW TO PREPARE:
It is ideal that potential candidates have thorough dance or colorguard training prior to auditioning for an Independent World colorguard. However, we will not deny anyone the opportunity to come audition or gain experience through the audition process with Paramount Winterguard. Paramount also hosts a series of Peak Performance Clinics throughout the summer months, at which we share knowledge and skills and give performers and insider's experience to what Paramount is all about.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Please wear comfortable, form- fitting, solid, dark-colored, dance or athletic wear. Please bring comfortable sneakers or dance shoes, as well. Hair needs to be pulled back out of your face, and jewelry is not to be worn while rehearsing.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring your $40, non-refundable Audition Fee, a great attitude, and all your passion and desire for performing. It will help you come prepared with a knowledge of our rehearsal calendar (on our website) as well as any potential scheduling or financial issues you may have. It is also important that you have a solid financial plan in place for how you will meet the responsibilities of paying membership dues. Flags will be provided for you, and we will have some rifles and sabres on hand to borrow. However, if you own equipment, or have access to your own, please bring those just in case--as we have quite a lot of performers who'll attend auditions.
